Part of a squinted bay window we were working on, this sash with Georgian glazing bars is from the living room of a characterful Grade 2 listed Arts and Crafts home in Gerrard’s Cross.

It’s all-too common to see fairly questionable repairs on a listed building. This one was no exception, with prolific use of filler in certain areas.

We were able to make a nice, sturdy jointed repair in Accoya since the timber in the window was of excellent quality further up the stiles.

Combined with the other repairs around the bay, the owners could keep the character that these windows lend the building.
