2 x double casement window repairs on a grade 2 listed building on Amersham High Street were not easy, the challenges were scaffolding with members of the public walking underneath as well as neighbours cars and all new leaded glass to match the existing. On top of this the side cheeks had been cemented by the previous owner and had massive cracks in it that were letting in a lot of water which explained why they had rotted so badly.Once the windows were finished Dave the Lead replaced the cheeks using grade 1 lead, the property dated back to 1525 and so he also needed to replace a handful of the original tiles as well.
