3 pairs of bi-folding arched lattice shutters

These 3 pairs of shutters were for the Alhambra Castle, the lattice work was made first consisting of 1000’s of 90 degree and 60 degree housing joints using a dark hardwood .The arches were simply made by over lapping planks and gluing the planks together at 22.5 degree (half of 45) butt joint.End grain must never show so had the arch been larger the butt angle would simply change to 15 degrees
