Bay window repairs in Gerrards Cross:

This squinted bay had been painted shut and kept that way for a number of years until the new owners moved in. In order to get the windows open, they were forced to damage the sash stiles. The stiles were split along their grain and needed repair. The remaining sashes also needed opening (ideally without damaging them) and the proper function returned to the hinges.

We started by repairing the damaged stile on the first sash before carefully and methodically freeing the remaining sashes from the bay.

With equal care, we removed and cleaned the hinges and tidied everything up before reassembling and getting everything working perfectly with the existing catches.
