We were asked to replace this existing uPVC casement window with a more appealing timber framed window. The customer asked for the large opening casement to be changed to a smaller opener, with a large fixed double-glazed unit next to it.
Although the old uPVC windows were double glazed, we were able to fit more energy efficient glazing with an even lower U value. At the same time, we machined-in ventilation to the window in order to meet Doc F of the building regs.
The most critical part of bringing a job like this together is fitting the glazing itself. Skip a step or miss a detail and the double glazing will fail prematurely or the window will rot. We follow our “One Best Way” method to ensure the window stands the test of time.
