This sash window sill was rotten to the extent that it was crumbling to bits. Being a listed building, getting it replaced could have been a time consuming and costly process.
We were able to repair the window by fitting a solid wooden sill, jointed just as the original was. This method of repair restores the window to good as new condition without any of the trouble and expense of replacement. New draft-excluding beading completes the repair.
