This grade 2 listed building needed a hardwood new sill and the doors need rehanging.The moulded glazing bars were made from copper and not wood.The biggest challenge was both jambs had split and expanded ,this was caused by 1 inch vertical metal rod being installed 200 years ago as a modern material (at the time) tenon.This of course rusted over the years and then expanded to double its original size damaging the jambs from the inside.
