This window didn’t need an entire new sill as only the front most exposed part had rotted.Thanks to the owner identifying the issue in time the rest of the sill was still in perfect order.A new extended sill was glued in place using a tongue and groove joining method with the jambs and mullions needing minor “A” planks repairs all using Accoya wood which carries a 50 year non rot life guarantee .

A simple corner sill repair perfectly mitred together using an easy to apply biscuit joint method and a lot of polymer behind.All new beading was installed to bridge the polymer butt joint hidden underneath from the weather and all new face glazing.

A new bottom rail and stile repairs were need for this rotten casement sash and the whole of the sill was replaced in Accoya .The sill had multiple ants nests inside it ,the ants over many years had been slowly eating though the window until there was almost nothing left.
